As a stylist, my mission is to listen to my clients, educate them, and to deliver a result that has them looking and feeling fabulous. I want people to feel as though they can escape life’s difficult realities while they are in my chair.
Angela Mechlin, Master Stylist- From an early age, some would say that I was destined to become a hairstylist. I could often be found on the front porch brushing my dad’s hair and painting his face. He loved the attention and always fell asleep on me. I also have fond memories of giving my huge, white teddy bear a haircut. I should have known that I would grow up to be a hairstylist. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio where I also went to Urbana University for a year before realizing that computer science wasn’t my forte. I wanted to make an impact on people’s lives. Taking my strengths into consideration, I decided to pursue becoming a hairstylist.
I moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 2014 to attend Paul Mitchell, my dream school. After graduating, I was blessed to have been chosen to work at Strands, a highly prestigious salon in St. Louis. Within the 2 years of working there, I took advantage of the many opportunities to take classes and learn from top educators in the industry, some of which included Nick Arrojo, who worked on the tv show “What Not To Wear” and Debra Dietrich, who is a top educator for Paul Mitchell and did hair for the movie “Milk”.
In 2018, I moved to Columbia, Missouri to pursue another dream of one day getting married and building a family. I’m now happily married and I’m slowly growing my family, beginning with my four-legged fur pup.
Although, I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of my career, my favorite part is meeting and building relationships with people from all walks of life. In addition, I enjoy my specializations in Deva Curl Haircutting, Brazilian Blowout Treatments, DreamCatchers Hair Extensions, Halo Couture Extensions, and Yuko Thermal Straightening. I look forward to having you in my chair soon!
