Kim Olson, Specialist Stylist & Owner- I’ve spent my career guiding my clients toward achieving their beauty goals and helping them feel confident.  It is greatly rewarding and it keeps me motived to continue to serve people on a daily basis ever since I entered the cosmetology industry in 1993.  I have a passion to share all I’ve learned in the salon and spa industry by coaching and growing my team of technicians by guiding them to fulfill their career goals and make their career dreams a reality.  I’m proud to have a team serve our guests so they leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and relaxed.

After being a hair stylist for many years I was inspired to open Hair Therapy the Salon in September of 2010. In October 2018, we became Hair Therapy Salon & Day Spa after I purchased our current building. This is our forever home.

I have learned from experts in the salon industry like hair guru and TV personality Nick Arrojo on razor cutting and business advice.  I’ve studied the art of Ombre and Balayage from the “Balylamma” herself, Candy Shaw.  I have mastered the art of formal hair styling by soaking in classes from Aquage educator and CEO, Louis Alverez and his team.  I am also a Deva Curl certified cutting specialist. I enjoy teaching my team of stylists about curly hair cutting and styling so they can serve the curly hair community as well.

I find learning and continuing my education exciting and I like to try new things.  Whatever hair color challenge comes my way I am up for. My main priority is to always keep the hair as healthy as possible.  I lead my team of stylists through any hair color challenges and love helping them deepen their knowledge of color theory.

When I’m not working, I enjoy; spending time with family and friends, going to the movies, reading, road trips with my husband to small towns, and finding unique places to eat.  I’m blessed to have my loving husband to help raise our two young boys Finnley and Rennick. After enduring 8 years of infertility and lots of medical help we feel so blessed to be parents.  Parenthood is the hardest journey, yet the best journey I could ever go on!
