We have a saying in the massage world: “Leave it on the table.” It’s that moment when you are able to let everything go, to relax. When you get up from my table, I want you to be able to leave your stress behind. I am passionate about helping people, just like you, with the power of healing touch.
I’m a native Mid-Missourian who has always believed in the healing power of touch. At the age of 30, I decided to follow my dream of becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist after spending almost 10 years in the hotel industry. After receiving my license, I opened a small practice in Oklahoma for a year before making the decision to move back to CoMo, where I’ve been practicing since 2013.
Becoming a massage therapist has been one of the most fulfilling ways I have found to help people. Being certified in different modalities of massage has allowed me the ability to help folks in all walks of life. Putting together the puzzle of why you are experiencing pain or discomfort is one of my favorite parts of body work; whether it’s due to injury, repetitive/over use of muscles, lack of movement and/or range of motion, or sometimes just plain old stress. I enjoy the challenge of discovering the reasons you are in pain and in turn, partnering with you on how to avoid and/or improve these issues.
In my journey of massage, I have also come to be very passionate about working with expectant mothers by providing prenatal massage and even working as a birth doula for clients occasionally. Helping mama’s feel better and bringing their little ones safely into the world has become a large part of my narrative as a massage therapist. It is something that I am particularly proud of and plan to continue doing in the community.
I am so excited to be a part of the Hair Therapy Salon & Day Spa team and look forward to helping our spa program grow and flourish. I can’t wait to continue bringing healing touch to as many people in the Mid-Missouri area as possible. Whether you are expecting, an athlete, in pain, or need to simply relax, it is my pleasure to help you feel better and “Leave it on the table.”
